When you use the app we collect usage data such as facts you like, save, or submit, and the categories you browse.

• To send important service updates (no marketing without consent).
• To improve the quality and safety of content on the platform.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties. We may share data only:

• When required by law or a court order.
• With service providers who help operate the platform (e.g. hosting), bound by confidentiality agreements.

We use an HTTP-only cookie to keep you logged in securely. We also use your browser's local storage to remember which facts you have already seen so we can show you fresh content.

No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Facts you submit become part of the ScrollFacts content library. Submitted facts go through a review process before being published. By submitting content you grant ScrollFacts a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it on the platform.

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below. We will process the request within 30 days.

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, bcrypt password hashing, and HTTP-only cookies to protect your data. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

ScrollFacts is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
